AMELIE is an Erasmus Multilateral Project funded by the European Union Lifelong Learning Programme as a curriculum development initiative. The project was running from October 2010 to December 2013. Under the roof of the European Academy of Legal Theory it led to the establishment of an advanced Joint Master Programme in Legal Theory.

Legal Theory has an increasing importance in today’s dynamic and global legal environment. The master programme developed and tested during the AMELIE project life time permits prospective students to understand law in a comprehensive manner, therefore enabling them to work in research based positions on a European and International level. With a budget of more than 400.000 Euros, AMELIE designed a curriculum that meets transnational necessities of integration from a legal theory perspective.


gathered to create a unique postgraduate programme leading to single, double or multiple diploma study track options, with courses in up to four major European cities in one year.
